Dressoir with Golden Fleece

Are these objects on a jeweler’s display shelf or are they the possessions of the manuscript donors? The donor Isabelle de Lalaing is portrayed on fol. 54r. She was the sister of Jacques de Lalaing, who became a member of the Order of the Golden Fleece in 1451, but died in 1453. It is possible that the jeweled emblem of the order [depicted on the bottom of the green cloth] came into her possession following his death.

Her husband, Pierre 1^er de Henin-Liétard, seigneur de Boussu, grand baron du Hainaut, laments at her deathbed on fol. 373v. The chain he wears does not appear to bear the emblem of the Order of the Golden Fleece, nor was he ever inducted as a member.
