The Heart yields to Desire

The lover’s heart is personified by the knight on the left, bearing the arms of a heart with wings (on his helmet and on the horse’s caparison) and forget-me-nots on his shield. When he battles Desire (black armor with three marigolds [French: fleurs de souci]), he can not win, and is knocked off the bridge into icy cold water.
